THERE’S NOTHING LIKE NEW YORK IN AUTUMN

On September 22, the long-awaited fall season begins. Year after year in New York City – where more than 2.4 million Hispanics live, and from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month is held.

Visitors to the Big Apple will be able to enjoy and learn more about the Hispanic culture by visiting plays, art exhibitions, concerts, parades and many more activities

 

FALL FOLIAGE IN CENTRAL PARK

Autumn is the season chosen to visit New York. Its foliage begins to transform its colors, making it charming and irresistible. Red, yellow, brown, orange and all their shades create a truly wonderful color palette.

Called the green lung of New York, Central Park is one of the most famous parks in the world, it has been featured in numerous films and has a wide variety of spaces to enjoy nature and its beautiful waterfalls.

HALLOWEEN PARADE

Every October 31, the traditional “New York’s Village Halloween Parade” takes place in New York.

It takes place in Greenwich Village, an area located south-east of Manhattan. Everything there is decorated with pumpkins and Halloween themes. The parade begins at the corner of Spring Street 6th to the height of 16th Street.

Being an event open to the public, visitors dress up and everything is decorated with pumpkins and Halloween themes. This is an unmissable show that is lived with all the intensity where fun and sense of humor reign.

 

MARATHON IN NEW YORK

 

The Big Apple fills with athletes in the fall. Every first Sunday of November the famous New York Marathon takes place.

This 42,195-kilometer race has been held every year since 1970 and is the marathon with the most runners in the world.

 

NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL

From September 30 to 16, the non-competitive film festival organized by the Film Society of Lincoln Center takes place.

Documentaries and feature films are screened throughout this event, where actors and directors meet to discuss the different proposals offered.

The first edition was presented in 1963 with “The Exterminating Angel” and this year it celebrates its 60th version.

 

BRONX ZOO

A visit to the Bronx ZOO is also a perfect activity to do this fall, to leave the hustle and bustle of Manhattan for a few hours and enjoy nature.

This year and for the first time, the Bronx ZOO will present the so-called “haunted experience after dark” where all visitors who are over 13 years of age can enjoy.

This event called Dinosaurs in Darkness: The Hatching will take place during normal business hours every Saturday and Sunday from October 1 to 30.
