A cold spring in New York
New York is the most populous city in the United States and one of the most inhabited in the world, located in the state of the same name on the Atlantic Ocean coast, in the northeast of the United States.
The great heat records set this spring in various parts of the United States were left behind by a cold front that will impact at least 10 states during the week, causing heavy rain and even snow in some regions.
The changes in the weather are much more constant, which means that in a single day there can be high temperatures, constant rains as well as strong frosts; take precautions and find out the weather forecast every day you are going to be in New York.
A cold front will impact at least 10 states in the central and eastern United States, plunging to 50 degrees Fahrenheit in temperatures that exceeded 90 degrees in some cases. The greatest cooling will come from a “powerful cold front” moving across the eastern United States early this week, AccuWeather reported.
“The same front that will bring cold air will also work to unleash severe thunderstorms from the Mississippi Valley to the Appalachians,” the report states.
He adds that although the temperatures will drop in the cities of Buffalo, New York and Pittsburgh, the levels are not as low as in the center, since they will be above 60 degrees Farenheit.
However, it is possible that towards Tuesday and Wednesday the rains will contribute to lower temperatures in the Big Apple and other nearby cities.
The changes began to be felt on Saturday afternoon and will continue until the end of the week.
“After a high temperature in the 80s on Saturday, Chicago will have a hard time reaching 60 degrees on Sunday,” it says. “It will be a similar story in places like St. Louis and Madison, Wisconsin.”
Meteorologists call the hot days “a summer tease” – even New York set a record – but warn that the cool days are not completely gone, with snow even forecast in some areas.
“After a summer flurry last week that decimated snowpack across much of the Upper Midwest, snow is on the way once again,” said Matt Benz, AccuWeather meteorologist.
As for rain, the probability of precipitation for this city will be 40% during the day and 7% throughout the night.
In the same sense, the cloudiness will be 83% during the day and 26% during the night. While the wind gusts will reach 34 kilometers per hour during the day and 24 kilometers per hour at night.
Beware of the sun, UV rays are expected to reach a level of up to 4.
In the New York city, the weather is mainly humid continental, with very cold winters, very hot summers and moderate rains that fall throughout the year, which become storms during the summer and snowfall in winter.
However, New York’s proximity to the Atlantic coast means that winters are not so harsh, nor are summers so hot.
The cold and the constant rains cause the fall of nine during the winter.
The months with the lowest temperature are between December and March, while the highest temperature is between July and August.
By occupying a large extension of territory, the United States reports a great variety of climates, practically all of them.
Two main climates prevail on the eastern side of the United States: the humid subtropical and the humid continental.
In the Northeast of the United States, the most important climate is the humid continental one, which is characterized by constant rains throughout the year that turn into storms during the summer and snow during the winter.
In the southeastern United States, the prevailing weather condition is the humid subtropics, with warm summers, cool winters, and abundant rainfall.

On the western side of the United States, there are at least three major prevailing climates: semi-arid, arid, and Mediterranean.
The semi-arid climate, in its cold subtype, covers the most central part of the West and from north to south of the United States, characterized by low rainfall and low temperatures.
The southwestern United States is where the arid climate is present, both in its cold and warm subtypes. In the cold arid, the winters are icy and the summers are mild, while in the hot arid the summer registers extremely high temperatures and in the winter the weather is mild. In both cases rainfall is scarce.
