The CYCLONE in Coney Island opened June 26, 1927, it was designed by Vernan Keenan and built under the direction of Harry C. Baker on land purchased for the occasion by Jack and Irving Rosenthal. In 1935, the Rosenthal brothers took over the management of the Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey. The Cyclone was then entrusted to Christopher Feucht, a Coney Island alumnus who had already built Drop the Dips in 1907!!! Moren 110 years ago!
