The most beautiful streets in the United States according to a global survey with the opinion of more than 20 thousand tourists, highlighted places for all tastes; in states like California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York
The United States has six of the 33 most beautiful cities in the world, according to research by Time Out’s global editorial team.
Through a large and detailed survey that was applied to just over 20,000 inhabitants of international cities, it was concluded which are the streets and avenues that tourists should not overlook and that are, therefore, a must-see. In the case of the North American country, some stand out in California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York.
The street named as the most beautiful and picturesque is Rue Wellington in Montreal, Canada, but the US territory is not far behind. This is a list of those that appeared on the list and the place they occupied.
- Hayes Street, San Francisco
Ranked 10th out of 33, Heyes Street is the main street in Hayes Valley, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Francisco. It is a place where tourists can visit the most beautiful shops and old restaurants in the city. There you can find from establishments to buy clothes, even some to have a drink.
The recommendation is when someone visits the Heyes, it is to buy items at the favorite local gift shop: Rare Device, eat a casual lunch at Mano and a coffee at Ritual Coffee to drink while enjoying the city.
- Virgil Avenue, Los Angeles
In position number 13 is Virgil Avenue, in Los Angeles, California. It is a long artery, divided into North and South that runs through, among other places, the beautiful neighborhood of East Hollywood. With a sober style, it surprises with its luxury shops and departments.
- Eighth Street, Miami
In the list of the 33 streets is also the Ocho de Miami, with position 16. It is a very central and colorful street, full of both small and large businesses. It is a place that you must go to if there is a visit to this city in Florida. Carnivals, colors and joy are not lacking in this place.

The street is bounded on the south by Prince Street and on the north by West 8th Street; their numbering begins in the south. Between Waverly Place and West 3rd Street it is named after Washington Square West and the numbering scheme changes, from north to south, beginning with #29 Washington Square West at Waverly Place and ending at #37 at West 3rd Street. Traffic on the street runs south (downtown).
MacDougal Street is named for Alexander McDougall, a Revolutionary War merchant and military leader. MacDougall is also the namesake of MacDougal Alley, a private cul-de-sac jointly owned by the residents of Washington Square North to the south and West 8th Street to the north, for whom it was created in 1833 for their stables. The Alley runs east from MacDougal Street in the block between West 8th Street and Waverly Place/Washington Square North.
MacDougal Street has been called “the most colorful and magnetic place for tourists on a night out in the Village.” It has been the subject of many songs, poems and other forms of artistic expression, and has been frequented by many famous people.
- Newbury Street, Boston
Finally, at position 31, there is Newbury Street in Boston, the capital of Massachusetts. According to the Tripadvisor site, it is an avenue full of modern premises but at the same time with an old tint. “Good option for a walk, with bars, restaurants and some other shops, with the appearance of a typical New England neighborhood,” a user reviewed for the platform
