Lights in the sky
Ovnis
Strange lights seen in the Texas sky on the night of August 7 astonished and scared more than one person. There were several bright points in a line that walked together and then disappeared in a few seconds. You can see the videos of these lights at this link.
Everyone was trying to guess what those lights were. And no, they are not any of the above, they are Starlink satellites from Elon Musk’s SpaceX company.
These lights had been seen before in cities like New York and Houston, and even outside the country, for example, in Monterrey, Mexico they were also seen in September 2022.
Members of the House Oversight Committee’s Homeland Security, Border and Foreign Affairs subcommittee listened for more than four hours and in a rare display of bipartisan harmony to the accounts of three witnesses (“brave,” they were called by representatives of both sides) on his experiences with unidentified objects: David Grusch, a former Air Force intelligence officer who has maintained that the Pentagon has in its possession remains of alien craft and “non-human remains”; David Fravor, retired Navy Commander; and Ryan Graves, a former Navy pilot.
After the introduction of the congressmen, the witnesses took the floor to narrate their encounters with the UFOs (abbreviations in English of unidentified flying objects), although in this era of renewed interest in these unexplained artifacts, a name change is also required to combat the taboos: the US government and legislators prefer to be called “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAP).

Graves opened fire. “As we speak, our sky is full of UAPs, the existence of which is underreported. The sightings are not rare, nor isolated. They are the routine. The stigma of the UAP is real, and it poses a powerful challenge to national security,” he said at the beginning of his written statement.
He said that it all began for him in 2014, when he was an F-18 pilot and saw, during a flight that departed from the East Coast near Virginia Beach, a “dark gray or black cube inside a transparent sphere that approached 15 meters from the plane that led the flotilla. We estimated that it was between 1.6 and 3 meters in diameter.” “Soon,” he continued, “those encounters became so frequent that we discussed the risk of encountering UAP as part of flight preparation.”
Robert Garcia, D-Calif., who called on the committee to approach the matter with an “open mind,” asked Grusch if he thought the government had any UAPs in its possession. “Absolutely, yes, 40 witnesses confirmed it to me over four years,” he replied, who later assured that the Pentagon also hides “non-human remains.” “And do you know where they might be?” Garcia continued. “I know, and I reported it to the corresponding authorities,” replied the witness, who did not share that information at the hearing.
The third to speak, Fravor, recalled that day in 2004 when he participated in training exercises as a strike fighter pilot off the coast of San Diego. At a certain point, a controller told them that the mission had to be suspended, because they had been running into artifacts for a couple of weeks that dropped like lightning from 80,000 to 20,000 feet and stayed at that altitude for hours. Then, Fravor said, a white object appeared “moving very abruptly on the water, like a ping-pong ball.” “I’m not a fan of UFOs,” he confessed, “but I will tell you that what I saw over a five-minute period is something I have never, before or since, seen. It was incredible technology.” He defined that meeting as “the most important sighting of a UFO in history”, and warned that he does not believe that this technology is “within the reach of any country on the face of the Earth”.
“Of those we’ve prioritized about half of them as having an interesting and anomalous value, and now we have to look at them and ask ourselves how many are likely to be true.”
The path of UFOs to the surface of public discourse had one of its biggest milestones in disclosure in 2017, thanks to a New York Times article, quoted endlessly during Wednesday’s hearing, that the Department of Defense had launched an Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, launched at the initiative of the late Nevada Democratic Senator Harry Reid. In that state is Area 51, a secret military base and icon of popular culture that is synonymous with conspiracy theories about aliens, UFOs and covert operations of the Government to, supposedly, hide from the world the evidence that extraterrestrial life exists. .
In addition, the US aerospace agency, NASA, has created an independent multidisciplinary working group of 16 people to study these phenomena in depth, which has concluded that the lack of quality data prevents them from going deeper in most cases.
