New York adds 19 restaurants to the 2022 Michelin Guide

Such is the importance of the culinary world in this city that the Michelin Guide 2022 has added 19 restaurants with stars in New York; in this selection you can find vegetarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean and French food. The star ratings and other honors were announced at a ceremony at Hudson Yards.

Michelin stars are recognitions assigned by the guide of the same name to “good food” since 1955, that is, to excellence in those restaurants or hotels that stand out for their quality, creativity and dedication in their preparations. Ratings range from one to three stars. This award represents the highest distinction to which a chef can aspire.

The selection process for the winners has some rather peculiar characteristics, and it is that, for example, during a year, an inspector travels completely anonymously to more than 250 distinguished businesses. The greatest possible variety is investigated, known and tasted, always with the aim of discovering those hidden places that keep the perfection in the combination of tastes and flavors.

In this way they collect information from all over the world and the filters become more and more demanding. Sometimes his evaluations do not match the taste of most people, and then this star must be ratified and defended every year.
